El Milagro de la Vida, Regreso de Alex Saab a Venezuela

En un sueño hecho realidad, después de 3 años y medio de lucha, Saab regresó a casa. La promesa que yo hice a su esposa a finales de 2021 en Caracas, de que haría todo lo posible desde el Imperio por su regreso, se cumplió. Tres días después de la publicación de mi artículo en The Burning Spear, el sitio oficial del Partido Socialista del Pueblo Africano que lidera el movimiento Uhuru, en el que pedía a las fuerzas revolucionarias de Estados Unidos que apoyaran a Saab, como parte de mis esfuerzos continuos, él estaba liberado. Un esfuerzo colectivo de miles de camaradas de todo el mundo y el brilliante diplomacia bolivariana junto con el liderazgo de Maduro lo llevaron a casa contra todos los obstaculos. Haber tomado un pequeño papel en esto ha sido un honor que algún día les contaré a mis nietos.

La noche de la fecha 20 dormí como un bebé sin la tensión por el bienestar de Saab, ya que por una vez nuestros esfuerzos dieron sus frutos y él estaba en casa con su familia, su primer día como hombre libre, el 21, fue su cumpleaños ya tiene 52, y qué maravilloso regalo para él y su familia en las fiestas. Lágrimas de alegría cuando abracé a mi padre, también partidario de Saab, al escuchar la noticia en internet. Al principio pensé que podría ser una noticia falsa, pero después de que se confirmó, me sentía una alegría increíble y la esperanza de que los otros prisioneros del Imperio como Assange sean los siguientes en ser liberados.

En lugar de entrar en los factores en juego que resultaron en su liberación, una victoria para los antiimperialistas del mundo, el movimiento antisanciones, el movimiento anticolonial por la libertad de expresión y una derrota para el imperio estadounidense, me gustaría entrar en las implicaciones del acto en sí, un diplomático desafiante, torturado y golpeado, perdiendo dientes, negándose su medicamento contra el cáncer, todo por órdenes de Estados Unidos, pero no pronunció una palabra contra su líder, y nunca se vendió y al final ganó. Este es un mensaje para todos los revolucionarios, el modelo, la conducta de Saab, todos debemos aspirar a ser como el. Tampoco debemos elogiar al régimen de Biden, deben una compensación a Saab y su familia, una disculpa, no sólo un indulto, y hasta donde yo sé todavía hay sanciones a las cuentas bancarias de su esposa, Camilla Fabri de Saab y de su hijo, que creo que sólo tiene 20 años. Es necesario devolverle el dinero a este hombre honesto y compensarle por los injustos 3 años y medio que le quitaron de su vida; su hija menor recién ahora está conociendo a su padre.

¿Por qué pongo en el título el milagro de la vida? Cito directamente a Saab, quien junto a Maduro en su discurso posterior al presidente en Caracas, agradeció a muchas personas en su tono humilde, y dijo que la vida es un milagro, que es un milagro que sea libre. La injusticia cometida contra Saab quedará recordada como una de las muchas manchas del imperialismo, pero también como uno de los hermosos momentos de un hombre que no se rindió, que se mantuvo desafiante, con dignidad, y todos debemos aspirar a ser así. Hay mucho más que tengo la intención de escribir, puede haber otro libro para agregar al libro El Diplomático, sobre Saab que escribí el año pasado, pero por ahora dejaré esto como un breve artículo y un homenaje a un gran hombre que tuve el honor con quien estar en contacto durante su cautiverio y con quien hice todo lo que pude para asegurar su libertad. Una persona puede marcar la diferencia, un hombre desafiante puede marcar la diferencia en la historia, nunca lo olviden, camaradas. ¡Viva Saab! ¡Viva Maduro!

The Miracle of Life, Return of Alex Saab To Venezuela

The moment Ambassador Saab arrived safe and sound to Venezuela, with his wife and children waiting for him, December 20th, 2023

In a dream come true after 3 and a half years of struggle, Saab was returned home. The promise, I gave to his wife in late 2021 in Caracas, that I would do all I could from the Empire for his return, was fulfilled. 3 days after the release of my article in The Burning Spear, the official site for the African People’s Socialist Party who leads the Uhuru movement, calling for the revolutionary forces in the US to get behind Saab, as part of my ongoing efforts, he was released. A collective effort, of 1000s of comrades, from all over the world, and the genius of Bolivarian diplomacy along with the leadership of Maduro, brought him home against all odds. To have played a small part in this has been an honor I will tell my grandchildren about someday.

The night of the 20th I slept like a baby with the tension over Saab’s well being gone, as for once, our efforts bore fruit, and he was home with his family, his first day as a free man, the 21st, was his 52nd birthday, and what a wonderful present for him and his family in the holidays. Tears of joy as I embraced my father, also a Saab supporter, upon hearing the news online. At first I thought it might be fake news, but after it was confirmed an incredible joy came over me, and a hope the other prisoners of the Empire like Assange will be freed next.

Rather than get into the factors at play that resulted in his release, a victory for the anti imperialists of the world, the anti sanctions movement, the free speech anti colonial movement, and a defeat for the US Empire, I would like to get into the implications of the act itself, a diplomat defiant, tortured and beaten, losing teeth, being denied his cancer medication, all on US orders, but he would not utter a word against his leader, and he never sold out and in the end won, this is a message to all revolutionaries, the model, the conduct of Saab, we must all aspire to be like. Nor should we praise the Biden Regime, they owe compensation to Saab and his family, an apology, not just clemency, and as far as I know there is still sanctions on the bank accounts of his wife, Camilla Fabri de Saab and his son who I believe is only 20 years old. Money needs to be returned to this honest man and compensation for the unjust 3 and a half years taken from his life, his youngest daughter is only now getting to know her father.

Why do I put in the title the miracle of life? Am quoting Saab directly, who along side Maduro in his speech after the president spoke in Caracas, thanked many people in his humble tone, and said that life is a miracle, that its a miracle he is free. The injustice done to Saab will go down as one of the many stains of imperialism, but also one of the beautiful moments of a man who did not give up, who remained defiant, with dignity, and we must all aspire to be like. There is much more I intend to write, there may be another book to add on to The Diplomat book on Saab I wrote last year, but for now I will leave this as a brief article and a tribute to a great man I had the honor to be in touch with during his captivity and who I did all I could to assure his freedom. One person can make a difference, one man defiant can make a difference in history, never forget that comrades. Long live Saab! Long live Maduro!

Por qué los izquierdistas negros de Estados Unidos deberían prestar atención al caso de Alex Saab

En mi discurso en el evento auspiciado por la Coalición Retorno de los Negros en noviembre pasado en Washington, que fue traducido al español y compartido con el mundo, mencioné cómo el caso de Alex Saab está de hecho vinculado al caso de los Uhuru 3, también un caso federal. De hecho, nuestro propio presidente en la transmisión #OmaliTaughtMe del 3 de diciembre, señaló esto; e incluso dijo que el caso de Saab está ligado a los 5 de Tampa, también un caso de lawfare.

Esta no es la primera vez que nuestro presidente menciona el caso Saab, un caso sobre el que escribí un libro ahora en tres idiomas llamado “The Diplomat”, uno de los pocos libros en inglés que defiende a Saab, aunque se ha escrito mucho. para calumniarlo.

En junio de 2020, durante el régimen de Trump, mientras el embajador Alex Saab del gobierno legítimo de Maduro en Venezuela, realizaba su segundo viaje a un país aliado de Venezuela, Irán, con el fin de encontrar nuevas formas de luchar contra las sanciones estadounidenses, conocidas por el ONU como medidas coercitivas unilaterales ilegales, fue capturado en lo que se llama el primer secuestro, siendo el segundo secuestro en 2021 bajo el régimen de Biden cuando fue llevado a Miami bajo un cargo falso de conspiración para lavar dinero, lo que podría enfrentarlo 20 años de prisión (los Uhuru 3 se enfrentan a 15 años).

Mientras el embajador Saab se encontraba en Cabo Verde camino a Irán, a pesar de haber abundantes pruebas presentadas ante el tribunal de su inmunidad diplomática, habiendo sido diplomático desde 2018 antes de la ruptura de relaciones entre EE.UU. y Venezuela, no solo fue capturado , pero torturado, por agentes estadounidenses.

Esto incluyó la negación de medicamentos contra el cáncer y palizas físicas que recibio Saab, según relatos del propio Saab sacado clandestinamente de Cabo Verde e investigado por la ONU. De hecho, incluso la CEDEAO (Comunidad Económica de Estados de África Occidental), de la que forman parte varios países africanos, incluido Cabo Verde, dictaminó que Saab debe ser liberado mientras estuvo detenido allí.

El nuevo presidente electo de Cabo Verde, bajo presión de otras naciones africanas, de su propio pueblo y de naciones fuera de la región, dijo que liberaría a Alex Saab una vez que tomara posesión, un día antes de su toma de posesión, Saab fue enviado a Miami, contra todas las normas internacionales. También fui a Venezuela en 2021 observando su proceso electoral y debo decir que es el país más democrático que he visto.

También conocí a la esposa de Saab, Camilla Fabri de Saab, una mujer valiente, que tiene hijos pequeños que no pueden ver a su padre, que está recluido en un calabozo de Miami por luchar contra las sanciones estadounidenses y contra el imperialismo estadounidense y el colonialismo en general. Incluso el hijo de Saab que cumplió 18 años hace un par de años recibió una sanción estadounidense; no es político, por ser su sangre.

Al igual que Assange, un caso con el que también me he familiarizado a lo largo de los años, es castigado por actuar como periodista, Saab es castigado por actuar como diplomático, por intentar formar alianzas y luchar contra la injusticia estadounidense, tal como nuestro Presidente Omali y los demás Uhuru 3 lo ha hecho a lo largo de los años para intentar unir fuerzas contra la injusticia, es por eso que el gobierno federal imperialista persigue utilizando el lawfare.

Estos son actos de los últimos suspiros de un imperio desesperado. El embajador Saab viene una nación oprimida por partida doble: su madre era libanesa, su padre palestino y Saab es también latinoamericano. Sus padres murieron a causa de Covid y él no pudo asistir a sus funerales. Sin embargo, después de la protesta pública en Cabo Verde, el gobierno cedió y le permitió ir bajo arresto domiciliario para ver a su hermana y llorar su duelo, pero ella también fue tratada como una criminal, sin duda debido a la presión de Estados Unidos. Saab no ha sido obligado por esta nación imperial a ser un esclavo sino que lo están utilizando como peón para presionar a Maduro, pero esto no funcionará. Saab se niega a hablar y resiste toda presión como un verdadero revolucionario, digno de nuestro apoyo.

Why Black Leftists Should Pay Attention To The Alex Saab Case

(https://alrsuarez.wordpress.com/2023/11/06/discurso-en-washington-4-de-noviembre-2023/) I highlighted how the Alex Saab case is in fact tied to the Uhuru 3 case, also a federal case, indeed, our Chairman himself in last Sunday’s (December 3rd) Omali Taught Me broadcast, pointed this out (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5wNOQYbbus&t=12s, about 1 hour 14 minutes in the question of Saab is brought up), and even said Saab’s case is tied to the Tampa 5, also a case of lawfare. 

This is not the first time our Chairman has brought up the Saab case, a case I wrote a book on now in three languages called The Diplomat (https://www.amazon.com/Diplomat-Al-R-Suarez/dp/B0B5MQBMTK/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1X59W5EMDNR9U&keywords=the+diplomat+suarez&qid=1701800922&sprefix=the+diplomat+suare%2Caps%2C593&sr=8-1 ), one of the few books in the English language that defends Saab, while much has been written to slander him. In the book I touch on how lawfare is used, lawfare being a combination of the words law and warfare that is now known to be a tactic of the imperialists to use the bourgeois courts to attack revolutionary movements, especially those who are part of the anti-colonialist free speech movement. 

In June of 2020 during the Trump Regime while Ambassador Alex Saab, of the legitimate government of Maduro in Venezuela, was going on his second trip to a country allied with Venezuela, Iran, in order to find further ways to fight US sanctions, known by the UN as illegal unilateral coercive measures, he was captured in what is called the first kidnapping, the second kidnapping being in 2021 under the Biden Regime when he was brought to Miami on a trumped up charge of conspiring to money launder, which could have him face 20 years in prison (the Uhuru 3 face 15 years). 

While Ambassador Saab was in Cape Verde en route to Iran, who despite there being an abundance of evidence presented in court of his diplomatic immunity, having been a diplomat since 2018 prior to the rupture of relations between the US and Venezuela, he not only was captured, but tortured, by US agents, this included denial of cancer medication and physical beatings, according to accounts of Saab himself smuggled out of Cape Verde and investigated by the UN. Indeed, even ECOWAS (Economic Community of West African States), which several African countries are a part of, including Cape Verde, ruled that Saab must be freed while he was held there. (https://www.telesurenglish.net/news/ECOWAS-VP-Urges-Cape-Verde-to-Follow-Verdict-and-Free-Alex-Saab-20211008-0014.html) The new president elect of Cape Verde under pressure from other African nations, his own people, and nations outside the region, said he would free Alex Saab once inaugurated, one day before his inauguration Saab was sent to Miami, against all international norms. No doubt if this is brought to court, as its still being appealed on his diplomatic status, it will be a jury trial and the jurors will include exiles hostile to Socialists, much like we saw with the case of the Cuban 5. Of all the places they could have sent him I don’t find it coincidental. 

I have not only attended the hearings of Saab in Miami, and confronted fake journalists on the streets of Miami who have slandered him and myself, such as Roberto Deniz, some having escaped justice in Venezuela, and being ashamed to show their faces when I film them, I also went to Venezuela in 2021 observing their electoral process and I must say its the most democratic country I ever seen. I also got to meet his wife, Camilla Fabri de Saab, a brave woman, who has little children who cannot see their father who is held in a Miami dungeon for fighting US sanctions and against US imperialism and colonialism in general. Even Saab’s son who turned 18 a couple years ago received a US sanction, he is not political, for being his blood. 

Much like Assange, a case I have also become familiar with throughout the years,  is punished for acting as a journalist, Saab is punished for acting as a diplomat, for trying to form alliances and fight US injustice, just as our Chairman and the other Uhuru 3 have done throughout the years to try to unite forces against the injustice, this is why the federal imperialist government persecutes using lawfare. These are acts of the last gasps of a desperate Empire. Ambassador Saab is an oppressed nation twofold, his mother was Lebanese, father, Palestinian, and Saab is a Latin American as well. Both his parents died from Covid, and he was not able to attend their funerals, after the public outcry in Cape Verde the government relented and let him go on house arrest to see his sister to grieve, but she was treated as a criminal as well, no doubt from US pressure. Saab has not been forced to this imperial nation to be a slave but he is being used as a pawn to pressure Maduro, but this will not work, Saab refuses to talk and resists all pressure as a true revolutionary, worthy of our support. 

To conclude, there are some “activists” today, I should say, so-called, who not only try to drive a wedge between the African struggle and the Arab struggle but the Latin American and the Arab struggle or the Latin American and African struggle as well, we are one oppressed people, who must rise up and defend Saab and all the political prisoners of the Empire! I remain in solidarity with all the oppressed people.
